At some point I decided to retire the Terrahertz moniker in favor of a fresh start. “DJ Chase The Devil” was one of the names I picked as a replacement, a reference to a classic Reggae tune sung by Max Romeo and backed by Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry’s band The Upsetters. When I made and released this in 2005, the emo scene (which I was already too old for) had blown up, and the cover art was inspired by this meme-ish picture of a girl “dancing.” Musically, the mix is kind of all over the place, I think in a good way.
